Over 300 personnel were involved in fighting a wildfire in Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province on the afternoon of March 21st. The fire, which broke out in the Nghiem mountain area, occurred in challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions.
The wildfire erupted in Nghiem Son hamlet, Hoang Khai commune, Yen Son district around noon on March 21st. Upon receiving the alert, numerous personnel from fire departments, mobile police units, local police, the military, forestry officers, and local defense forces were quickly deployed to extinguish the blaze.
Difficult terrain, including steep slopes and rugged paths, harsh weather with strong winds and dry conditions, and a 3km distance from the mountain base to the fire site significantly hampered firefighting efforts. Fire trucks faced challenges in reaching the scene.
The involved personnel worked diligently and coordinated effectively to prevent the fire from spreading. The firefighting efforts were intense and demanding.
By approximately 4 PM that day, the fire was largely contained. However, emergency personnel remained on-site to prevent resurgence and investigate the cause of the blaze.
Challenges Faced During Firefighting:
