It happened more than ten years ago – in 2010, I was not married at the time˳ Baby BQ (4 years old, daughter of Ms˳ LM, a colleague working with my company, Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park, Binh Duong) had a fever, convulsions and was diagnosed with a serious illness˳
Ms˳ LM hastily took her child to visit the Children’s Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City˳ The doctor did tests and announced that baby BQ had Japanese encephalitis, leading to cerebral palsy˳
The family is peaceful, the child suddenly got a serious illness, causing the couple to quarrel, conflict and divorce˳
Colleagues and friends in my company have collected nearly 100 million VND to help Ms˳ LM treat baby BQ˳ Ms˳ LM then resigned from the company, holding her child alone, bringing the fragile hope of “still slapping water” to Hanoi˳
“Fortunately, blessed master”, baby BQ was enthusiastically saved by hospital doctors outside of Hanoi, escaped the door of death, but he did not return to normal as quickly as before˳
At the same time, my sister went to the funeral of a friend and said that her friend, who is a civil servant, is healthy, working normally, suddenly one day symptoms: loss of appetite, heat, fever and lose weight very quickly˳
He went to the hospital for a check-up and did tests to find out that he had terminal liver cancer˳ From the time of diagnosis to the time of death, less than 3 months when the age is just over 50, not yet reaching retirement age!
She said the family of Mr˳ said Mr˳ D˳ He was found to have hepatitis B during a voluntary blood donation˳ But because you already have the disease, there is no longer a “chance” to get the hepatitis B vaccine˳
My company has many female employees˳ After Ms˳ LM’s story, everyone considers it a “experience” lesson˳ A few people who had previously had a negative view of vaccinations also began to change their minds…
In 2012 I got married˳ I gave birth to two babies in 2013 and 2017˳ From the unhappy stories I’ve heard and witnessed, I pay great attention to protecting and taking care of my children’s health with vaccinations˳
Both times I gave birth, doctors at Tu Du Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and Mekong Maternity Hospital enthusiastically consulted with information about vaccines for the baby˳ 24 hours after birth, the babies were vaccinated against tuberculosis and hepatitis B vaccine˳
Then, in turn, vaccines are given according to age, such as diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, Haemophilus Influenza Type B meningitis, and Rotavirus diarrhea vaccines˳ , vaccines against diseases: measles, mumps, Rubella, chickenpox, Japanese encephalitis B; meningitis, pneumonia, otitis media…
“Heaven gave birth to an elephant that gave birth to grass and injected it with evil? Don’t you feel sorry for your child?”, a neighbor sister was “impatient” when she saw that my husband and I sometimes took our children to the clinic for vaccination (I chose to vaccinate the service with the hope that the children would be vaccinated)˳ best medical care)˳
I know my family’s story so I can only… laugh at the neighbor sister! Everyone has a different perspective and opinion˳ Especially those that are directly related to the health of themselves and their loved ones˳ The current social context is much different from the past˳ There are concepts that are still valid, but there are also concepts that are no longer relevant˳
My older child is in 5th grade this year, and the younger one is in 1st grade˳ Sometimes, when the weather changes, they also have a fever, a bit of a runny nose, but after only a day or two, they’re back to normal˳ For the rest, perhaps thanks to vaccination, my husband and I are almost assured of work without having to take leave…
Personally, I think vaccines are also a form of “life insurance”! Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent disease˳ Especially for infants, young children, and adults who have not yet been infected˳
I ignore the saying “Heaven gives birth to elephants gives birth to grass” but is extremely interested in the motto “Prevention is better than cure”˳
I share the unhappy stories that I have witnessed, and the things that I have experienced related to vaccination, with the desire to contribute a message to everyone to prevent disease, not to get sick˳ then… ran, like the unhappy story of my colleague’s sister˳
The house is strong by building a solid foundation˳ The tree is tall and sturdy thanks to good root care˳ People who want to be healthy need health care from the beginning, and preventing disease by vaccination is a method that is both safe and secure, and does not cost money (if you do not choose to vaccinate as a service)˳ ˳
Healthy and obedient children are the foundation to protect family happiness˳ Vaccination is to contribute to the welfare, ease the medical burden for society, and for a healthy community˳
