The Government Office has just issued Official Letter No˳ 3575 to Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan on the prevention of COVID-19 in the new situation˳

The official dispatch stated, considering the report No˳ 626 dated May 13, 2023 of the Ministry of Health on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the new situation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned the Ministry of Health to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the Ministries and agencies concerned prepare dossiers according to regulations to transfer COVID-19 from group A infectious disease to group B and announce the end of the epidemic˳

The Ministry of Health shall submit this dossier to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision˳

The Prime Minister agreed to strengthen the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control as proposed by the Ministry of Health in the above report No˳ 626 and assigned the Ministry of Health to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies˳ The agency prepares documents to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision˳
