Locate Important Papers
The last thing to do right before you get out of the car is locate your license and insurance papers˳ These papers will be very important to the investigation and you want to have them readily available˳ This is critical if you are injured and may be transported to the hospital leaving your vehicle behind˳ You don’t want these papers, or your purse if you carry one, being towed to the wrecking yard or repair shop with your vehicle˳ Be sure to grab these things on your way out of your car door and keep them with you until you return home˳ You will need to show them to the police and may need to provide insurance information to other drivers˳
