Perhaps you didn’t realize but workmen’s compensation fraud is huge and you’d have thought that by now the authorities would have stopped all that, but you know the trial lawyers own the game, big money there˳ We ought to throw some of these damn lawyers and doctors in jail too˳ Remove some of these licenses˳
One big issue right now is how the Disability Claims have skyrocketed, too many people seeking refuge for fear of lay-offs so they claim a BS injury, psychological issues, hurt back, loss of total motor movements in hands, knees, etc, they say as many as 25% of those on disability are fraudulently taking up services, worse, many will never go back to work eventually enter the social security system once they hit age˳ Cite: CATO Institute study recently; “Reforming Social Security Disability Insurance”˳
Indeed, I recommend that you read that or watch their video, you will quickly see the business and government budget concern as it costs billions each year˳ Pretty unfair to employers, it adds costs, and costs jobs˳ There was an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal titled; “As America Ages, Shortage Of Help Hits Nursing Homes,” by James R Hagerty which cites the number of individuals in various industries with the highest number of disability cases˳ It turns out that now everyone is getting into it˳
For another example read; “Ex-Athletes to Protest Workers’ Comp Bill – They plan to rally to criticize proposed legislation that would tighten rules on filing claims in California,” by Marc Lifsher˳ Imagine professional athletes who are paid extra to risk these injuries getting workmen’s compensation or disability which would be taxpayer funded? The number of reasons folks can sue or get a free ride from worker’s compensation are quite extensive indeed˳
Perhaps, there is a bit of business out there for a company that can investigate some of the fake claims, fraud, or catch some of these disability takers˳ Maybe the government might give them a commission for investigating and uncovering fraud, maybe those caught we be unable to public social security funds for the remainder of their days˳
Maybe such harsh penalties and enforcement can stop some of the fraud out there˳ It’s been getting out of hand and now it is costing our society and companies 10s of billions each year˳ Now then, I sincerely hope you will please consider all this and think on it, because if we don’t fix this, it could force us all into bankruptcy˳
